About the Role

About the Team Internship

The RBOPS Technology Lab (TechLab) delivers expertise on payment innovations to Federal Reserve decision makers by researching and conducting hands-on experimentation with technologies broadly relevant to payments, clearance, and settlement. The year-round TechLab intern will support the team’s ongoing payment technologies research work. Potential projects would focus on topics such as blockchain technology, digital assets, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and data analysis. The Systems and Operational Resiliency Policy (SORP) section is responsible for establishing the policy framework for operational resilience related risk to supervised institutions. The section promotes a financial system that is operationally resilient and ready to tackle cybersecurity risks, safeguard systems and critical financial infrastructure, and address emerging technology risks. The section provides policy analysis and research for supervisory oversight of the national program for the largest service providers.
