Our client in the public sector is seeking reliable and energetic individuals to support the administration of public employee benefit programs.
... As a Benefit Specialist, you will support operational staff and managers in member and/or employer services related to the administration employee benefit programs. You will need to learn complex benefit program requirements for eligibility, enrollment, benefit application and distribution processes. You will work with highly complex and sensitive data related to member demographics and benefit accounts and be responsible for updating changes. You will need to provide complex information in easy-to-understand formats for various audiences. Immediate assignments will be focused on supporting benefits administration technology modernization projects with research and remediation of data issues during conversions. At times, you may be assigned daily operational tasks such as processing retirement benefit estimates or taking calls in the member contact center and/or other special projects such as locating lost members or supporting targeted outreach efforts for customer experience improvements.

Strong candidates will be ready to learn and bring the flexibility for stepping in to help in whatever different areas of operations and modernization journey are needed. Candidates should be comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide operational support for member and employer services related to benefit programs.Learn and apply complex eligibility, enrollment, and benefit distribution requirements.Manage and update sensitive member demographic and benefit account data.Translate complex information into clear, accessible formats for diverse audiences.Contribute to technology modernization projects, including data research and remediation.Perform operational tasks, such as processing retirement benefit estimates and supporting customer service initiatives.


Qualifications:

Previous experience in benefits administration highly preferredStrong attention to detail and adaptability.Familiarity with Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Codes is highly preferred.Experience working with large data sets and complex information.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proven customer service experience and collaborative mindset.Must be a current WI resident, and able to commute to the Madison, WI office
