**Job Description:** The Bereavement Specialist is responsible to assist with psychosocial grief support to perinatal patients and families whose unborn infant is diagnosed with a potentially fatal anomaly. **Essential Job Duties** + Leadership and Coordination Provides clinical expertise in this specialty area of grief and bereavement skills and professionally represents the program publicly. + Represents the program on committees or task forces related to pediatric palliative care and in particular perinatal palliative care within the state and elsewhere as needed. + Is a liaison between professionals and/or patients when patient advocacy is needed. + Guides development of protocol and principles of action, and helps train others in their usage, to be able to extend this program throughout the Intermountain system. + Offers support not only pre-delivery, but also when the patient-family is in the hospital through phone or in-person contact, interfacing with appropriate hospital personnel to maintain a seamless transition of care from Angel Watch to hospital, and then again to Angel Watch home visits. + Maintains contact as needed with other professionals involved - ie, genetic counselors, physicians, nurses, SW's, Child Life Specialists, Chaplains, and bereavement counselors, as appropriate. + Keeps appropriate records of visits, contacts, etc. on Help2 so that all involved professionals can be apprised of interactions and care given. **Minimum Requirements** + Valid Utah Driver's license. + Two years experience in working with patient counseling. + Reliable transportation. **Preferred Qualifications** + Current Utah RN License + Current Utah Social Work License (SSW, CSE or LCSW). + Two years experience in bereavement counseling. + Spanish speaking. + Previous experience working with maternal-newborn populations. + Clinical pastoral education and/or certification as a chaplain. **Physical Requirements:** No Additional Description Available **Location:** Intermountain Health Logan Regional Hospital **Work City:** Logan **Work State:** Utah **Scheduled Weekly Hours:** 0 The hourly range for this position is listed below.
