BEVERAGE CART ATTENDANT-CLUB HOUSE RESTAURANT - DRGC (PT/VARIES)

Responsible for ensuring that all transactions for food and beverage deliveries/purchases on golf courses are correct.

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.        

Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Adhere to, standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and policies and procedures. Safely and responsibly drive the hospitality beverage cart to assist golfers with food and beverages. Receive food and beverage orders and communicate with the restaurant, bartender and kitchen staff. Retrieve/carry the prepared orders and deliver them to the guest in an accurate and timely manner. Check with the guests on the temperature, quality and flavor of the selections delivered. Maintain cleanliness of the beverage cart. Know and execute basic preventive maintenance on beverage cart. Proficiently operate the established POS systems by following the correct procedures, identifying the correct receipt ticket and the approved comping procedures or Player’s Club discounts are followed, when applicable. Maintain accountability and accuracy of the assigned cash bank drawer and complete all cash and credit transactions according to established cash handling procedures. Ensure that all transactions or adjustments to the receipt have been made and are properly documented and recorded before ringing up the sale. Attempt to resolve all guest complaints when possible or ensure that the Manager or Supervisor is immediately contacted to address the guest’s issues, concerns or request. Complete daily inventory and maintain par levels on assigned food and beverage inventories. Maintain a good working relationship and provide daily detailed communications with the Food and Beverages Leaders and other co-workers. Follow all Resort, and departmental policies and procedures, as required. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with State Health Regulations. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED is required.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a valid Driver’s License and good driving record – one or less moving violation within a 12 month period.  Must be comfortable with greeting, talking and meeting with the Guests on a regular basis.  Must be Serv-Safe certified or become certified within thirty (30) days of employment at Pearl River Resort.  C.A.R.E. (Controlling Alcohol Risks Effectively) certified before starting to work.  All candidates must successfully complete the class and obtain a test score of 84% or higher.

TESTING:

Must be able to pass the Basic Math Test with 84.5%, must take the required testing identified for this position

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition subtraction and multiplication tables.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Essential responsibilities include moderate to heavy physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least forty (40) pounds, and driving 75% of the shift.  Perform position responsibilities and/or essential functions on slippery or wet surfaces.  Must be able to work while wearing latex, vinyl, or rubber gloves.  Bending, stooping and stretching of arms during assigned shift.  Able to work within a variety of temperatures and weather conditions.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the Golf course or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. 

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
