Overview Takes responsibility for ensuring bartenders are trained/developed in F&B Operations and monitors business flow to develop efficient training, break and shift schedules. Consistently demonstrates the initiative to assist all bartenders when required by business needs. Regularly completes and signs for all stock requisitions, responsible for all beverage ordering for the resort and continually monitors inventory and costs against budget. Maintains working knowledge of F&B Operation’s internal functions, controls and software updates and takes the initiative to convey pertinent information to employees regarding policy changes. Ensures efficiency and accurate performance standards are met by maintaining communication with all work areas to verify paperwork and inventory controls. Consistently demonstrates outstanding guest service skills and always identifies repeat guests. Is available to assist beverage employees at designated locations as needed. Consistently monitors recruitment needs and interviews prospective employment candidates. Makes informed selections while making sure Human Resources and the Beverage Manager are consulted appropriately. Requirements: Must have knowledge of spirits and specialty crafted cocktails. Demonstrates working knowledge of beverage products and trends; including non-alcoholic and spirituous beverages. Understands the implementation of a full service alcoholic beverage operation. Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience; preferably in a bar/beverage environment. Must have an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience may be substituted for education. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Above average verbal and written communication skills required. Must possess computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Micros programming skills preferred Must possess outstanding guest service skills. Previous money handling experience with basic math skills required. Ability to organize/prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment and accommodate a flexible work schedule. Assists the F&B managers and Banquet Director in the effective management of all Bartenders and bartenders meet expectations as outlined in their job description including but not limited to ensuring our bartenders hospitably greet, prepare and serve food and drinks to our guests. Use guest name and engages with guest. Promotes and documents orders for drinks. Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing portion control. Set ups bar for service according to standards, Familiar with food allergens and handles any guest with food allergies with a high sense of urgency. Communicates this to Chef and immediate supervisor. Ensure all bartenders follow proper check closing and cash handling procedures. Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages. Be familiar with job hazards for your position and the bartenders position and puts safety first. Provide other services and duties as requested by your immediate supervisor or your department head. Qualifications Must be passionate about the hospitality business and posses a pleasant personality. Must be willing to work outdoors as needed in and out of the sun and should be prepared to deal with the Florida heat. Must meet appearance standards as outlined in our Crew Guide Must be able to read, write and clearly communicate in English. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other Crew Must obtain Safe Serve certification within 30 days of hire and go through Alcohol Compliance training quarterly. Ability to use point of sale computer. Ability to multi-task, take direction and adapt to changing needs and at times stressful work environment. Responsible for scheduling Alcohol Compliance Training every 4 months and continuously monitor Crew to ensure we follow responsible vendor practices.
