This is an exciting opportunity to join the Rock Events team – a team of energetic professionals that focus on supporting the Rock Family of Companies! Our team plans and executes special events, meetings, incentive travel, parties, awards shows, charity functions, and more. The goal is a world-class event, every time.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating beverage service-related operations within a growing portfolio of event venues. You’ll form relationships with vendors, clients, and partners to manage beverage services and events while providing a world-class experience.
About the Role
Field and respond to inquiries and create proposals based on client requests, budgets, and product availabilityIncrease beverage revenues through the production and implementation of creative menu offerings and upsell opportunitiesAssist with submitting product orders in a timely fashion to maintain appropriate par levels and place specialty beverage ordersReconcile beverage costs through the generation of invoices and paymentsAssist with the scheduling and on-site supervision of bartending and catering service staff for eventsStock bars and perform bartending duties as neededOccasionally execute day-to-day operations of an event including setup, breakdown, and other activities to ensure a smooth event flowDevelop a good working relationship with distributors and vendorsMaintain a basic working knowledge of beverage policies, laws, and regulationsResponsible for staying up to date on current industry trends, products, and systemsComplete annual compliance trainings to maintain adherence to safety guidelinesAbout You
Minimum Qualifications
1 year of experience in beverage and/or operations sales and managementProficiency with Microsoft Office suiteFlexibility to work unusual and often long hours, including evenings and weekendsPreferred Qualifications
