Job Summary

As a beverage server, you will be serving beverages to customers on the casino floor in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner while ensuring a positive experience for all customers.

Duties And Responsibilities Foster an environment that embodies Bally’s Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere Enthusiastically promote Bally’s customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations Serving customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs, initiating conversation, offering assistance and advice and remembering that “the customer is always right” Performing beverage set-up, running side work, and closing duties Possessing extensive knowledge of the restaurant’s menu and wine list, including daily specials Checking identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages Checking identification to ensure customers are using players cards issued to them and no one else Pushing in empty chairs at slot machines and table games areas of the casino floor Computing customer checks, operating the POS system and accepting payments Reporting tips for each shift Maintaining bar safety and sanitation standards Possessing awareness of potential hazards, which could cause, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping, falling or burns Arriving for each shift on time and in full uniform Attending all pre-shift meetings ready to “listen and learn” and share ideas Avoid leaving work area during peak periods Taking breaks only when approved by the Manager Keeping a clean and professional appearance at all times Assisting with cleanliness of the casino property Front and Heart of House Perform other duties as assignedQualifications Must be 21 years of age or older Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board Must have high school diploma or equivalent Must have one year or more related experience Must have alcohol certification Must have open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidaysPhysical Demands Regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms Must occasionally lift and lift up to 25 pounds Frequently required to stoop, crouch, or kneel Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor. The work environment contains bright lights, loud noise, and stressful situations.
