THE ROLE
The role of the Beverage Supervisor is to ensure that the venue is fully operational to serve beverage choices for events booked at the venue. The Beverage Supervisor ensures that all Bartenders are TABC certified and follow the guidelines of the law when serving patrons.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Works along with Beverage Manager to ensure all events are flowing regarding BEO.
• Ensure there are sufficient staff for events and preparation of events.
• Oversee day to day operations including staff assignments, side-work supervision, inventory management and closing procedures including cash handling and POS reporting.
• Ensure all reports are completed correctly and turned in in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to inform staff about daily specials, VIP guests and reservations for that day.
• Inspect serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
• Responsible for turning in and auditing end-of-month inventory.
• Provide efficient service and quality products by maintaining positive customer and client relations through effective communication and prudent financial practices.
• Work with Catering on Beverage Menus. Including coming up with specialty cocktails or any specific updates on inventory levels.
• Handling all special event payments or tips to staff.
• Maintain positive client relations and anticipate guest needs and ensure guest service in accordance with Legends standards; investigate service complaints.
• Supervise general cleaning tasks using standard products as assigned to adhere to health standards.
• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness.
• Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Must be fluent in English.
• Menu planning and development
• Must be able to stand or walk for varying lengths of time.
• Must be available to work an irregular schedule.
• Must be able to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of fine wines and beverage programs required.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of food and beverage procedures, controls, and administration as well as complete awareness and ability to perform all foodservice functions.
• Must have at least 1 years’ experience in a high-volume bar.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
