The Role 
The Beverage Supervisor will oversee assigned beverage locations to ensure proper execution.

 

Key Responsibilities

Maintain the highest standards of guest service and beverage quality Supervise and work closely with all bartenders, bar backs, and hourly supervisors Ensure proper execution of the beverage playbook including specialty cocktails and batching. Working with venue management team to implement beverage training for FOH staff, including proper pouring techniques, steps of making mixed drinks, and recipe details Conduct training of state and local beverage laws and regulations, including local Alcoholic Beverage Commission staff wherever possible Lead event pre-shift meetings to inform all team members about last minute changes, event details, bar display standards, and service expectations Complete other duties as assigned by Management

 

Inventory

Oversee post-event and monthly inventories to ensure all alcoholic beverages are efficiently tracked Coordinate the movement of alcohol and equipment placement according to event operation requirements Work closely with the Purchasing team to ensure proper beverage orders based on current inventories and upcoming schedule Implement security measures to help prevent theft and overpouring, secure storage of pre- and post-show inventory, reviewing yields by location and analyzing product use versus POS entries Ensure proper stocking of product sold at each location and create marketing displays in accordance with company and client requirements Establish par levels for beverage locations, create recipe binders, and detailed opening / closing procedures

 

Safety and Sanitation

Oversee post-event clean up and tear down with FOH staff, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and adherence to all health code requirements Follow health and safety standards regarding storage and use of all product, equipment, CO2 tanks, and related chemicals

Qualifications: 

• Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts including: mornings, nights, weekends and holidays 
•  2-3 years Food & Beverage and/or Restaurant experience preferred 
• Must maintain personal hygiene and a well groomed appearance standards 
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting to set up and execute an event 
• Willingness and drive to exceed guest expectations 
• Ability to effectively listen and take direction from management 
• Must have excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
• Must be punctual and dependable 
• Ability to make quick and accurate decisions 
• Must possess strong organizational skills
• Be able to delegate duties when necessary 
• Ability to be calm in stressful situations while keeping a smile 
• Ability to perform under pressure effectively for extensive periods of time while maintaining professionalism
