Description:

Implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellnessManages Patient Care Delivery through organization of workload by prioritizing the care of multiple patients assuring resources and coordination of plan of careMonitor’s accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care provided by other team members in implementation of plan of careIdentifies and addresses educational needs of patients related to prioritized problems according to level of comprehensionVerbalizes a concise and accurate report in support of continuity of care.Provides input into patient/nurse assignments in consideration of available staffing, unit activity and patient acuityAssures nursing excellence in accordance with accepted standards, evidence -based practice, current research, and caring philosophyDisplays compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy in relation to others

Requirements:

Current RN licensure or work permit in KentuckyBachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university, or an Associate’s Degree in Nursing for initial hire but must be enrolled within 12 months in a Bachelors Degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 yearsBasic Life SupportACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia
