The Mental / Psychiatric Health Technician cares for individuals withpsychiatric conditions as well as a variety of substance use disorders,following the instructions of physicians, nurses or other health practitioners.The Behavioral Health Technician monitors a patients’ safety, physical andemotional well-being and report directly to medical staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides personal care and behavioralassistance/interventions to assigned clients Assists clients with grooming, eating/meal preparation, andtoileting Maintains rounding on assigned clients/patients to ensuresafety as directed Assists with ambulation and transfer services  Monitors vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure Provides behavioral support services Provides crisis intervention Encourages independence Maintains patient safety Implements behavioral plans Documents care per policies and procedures Participate in rehabilitation and treatment programs Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:
