CMI Mumbai is an extension of General Mills CMI global organization, working closely with Growth Analytics & Foresights central teams, and all our GMI business segments i.e. North America Retail, Pet, International and North America Food Service, along with the CPW business (GMI’s JV with Nestle). We are a young and dynamic team of ~100 and growing, with research, data, and analytical skills, with the unique opportunity to shape and scale capabilities across our global organization. This position is a part of the Consumer and Market Insights, Performance & Consumer Analytics (PCA) team. This is a global team supporting all our global businesses and enabling strategies through data-driven solutions. Team is based out of Minneapolis Minnesota and Mumbai India location. Our PCA team is made of data engineers, data visualizers, statisticians and data scientists who help model and predict the impact of multiple internal and external forces on our businesses for strategic decision-making. We are looking for experienced Tableau developer who also has a working knowledge of SQL necessary for data extraction, data validation and for creating basic data tables at the visual backend to maintain the data feeds for the visualization. This person will work with end business users and our data science/analytics team to make our data more easily useable. You will work with stakeholders throughout the world. As part of this team, you will be expected to develop self-service dashboards that will enable business users to have quick and easy access to different sources of data. This person will also work with team from other function and end clients in other countries mostly in the US but also in other parts of the world. Key Accountabilities Create user friendly and well-designed visual tools/dashboards using BI tools mostly in Tableau/Power BI. Accountable for extracting data using SQL, designing, developing, deploying interactive data Visualizations. Data validation, ongoing maintenance, change management and building new reports. Able to create stories and PPT decks from dashboard/reporting tools to create business case and help the insights team Understanding of database and the ability to design and develop a report. It is important to be able to provide requirements to database developers to have the right data and structure in Production environment that is necessary to build performant visualizations. Demonstrate ability to listen and understand stakeholder requirement, quickly build a design that end users can leverage it for answering the questions in their use cases. Deliver projects independently within agreed timelines and as per agreed quality standards. Hands on with MS Excel functionality for data manipulation/Ad hoc work. Have affinity for continuously learning, explore, learn, and implement best practices to enhance dashboards. Stay updated on BI best practices, trends, and tools to continuously enhance the quality and efficiency of dashboards. Have a problem solving and agile mindset for solutions by showcasing excellent communication and collaboration skills Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a government recognized institution with certification in Engineering or Computer Application (BE/B. Tech/BCA) Four to six years of experience in Tableau desktop/Power BI. Experience in MS Office like Excel, ppt etc. Good coding knowledge of SQL Good idea in creating new dashboards based on understanding of stakeholder requirements. Proven experience in understanding the business requirements and storytelling techniques Good communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree from a government recognized institution with certification in Engineering or Computer Application (ME/M. Tech/MCA) Good understanding on MS Office packages and VBA Macro-based report automation will be preferred.
