BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

As a BI Analyst II, you will be an integral part of the Business Intelligence Data Governance team that will help plan, design, maintain, and implement the governance framework.  This role will be responsible for establishment and management of best practices, processes, and tools related to Data Governance and will report to the Manager of BI Data Governance. It requires cross functional coordination with stakeholders and partners within Business Intelligence and across the Charter organization.

The candidate should have prior experience with project management, policy writing, and creating high quality documentation with succinct and tailored messaging for a multitude of audiences. The role requires excellent time management, a proactive attitude and the ability to function effectively in a matrixed environment. The role will support initiatives from ideation through completion and work with Business Intelligence, IT, and internal Charter business units on the following work streams:

BI Data Assets Governance including Data CatalogBusiness Intelligence Data Access & AuditBI Environment Access Process Governance

Due to the nature of the initiative and visibility this team has, it requires a strong performer who is process oriented and can support building/enhancing processes and controls around the overarching goal of ensuring Data Governance policies are consistently applied to the benefit of the organization and company.

Utilize Project Management skills to prioritize, track, manage, and complete projectsGather, create, and maintain requirements for governance framework operating models, RACI, and processesAssist in implementing Data Governance best practices and repeatable processesIdentify, capture, and report on metrics related to benefits realized due to Data Governance initiativesAuthor policies and procedures related to Data Governance that will be distributed across the organizationCreate visual representations of workflows, procedures and processesAssist in creating executive level presentations and documents as neededInteract with senior management or executive level customers and provide support as neededDevelop partnerships with internal and external groups to gather feedback, collaborate on initiatives, and influence planning and decision makingWork with the BI Data Governance team to implement/enhance the data catalog, workflow automation, and other data governance related toolsAnalyze how data is being accessed and make recommendations to further refine controlsEvaluate requests to understand the business needs and determine best delivery that benefits the company as a wholePartner with BI teams to craft governance controls and processes around new technologies/tools

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

SQL and Analytics – 4+ yearsData Management and Reporting – 4+ yearsExperience performing business analysis across a variety of industries, business functions and technologies - 4+Proven ability in creating high quality documentationExperience in drafting, creating and maintaining policies and proceduresExcellent listening, written and verbal communication skillsStrong knowledge of MS Office applications (Visio, PowerPoint and Excel)Liaise between business users and technical teams for successful implementation of requirementsAbility to analyze, simplify and summarize complex information accuratelyUnderstanding of business uses of data for reporting and analyticsEagerness to learn new conceptsFunctional and technical experience in a large-scale data environment, e.g. developing business requirements, mapping out process flows, Testing, etc.Strong Project Management skillsDetail oriented with strong time management and organizational skillsAbility to work independently with minimal guidance, prioritize and organize effectively and manage multiple projects/assignmentsKnowledge of data governance methodologies, principles and tools is a plusExperience with/knowledge of SQL databases, dimensional and relational data models, BI reporting tools and data integration tools/methodologies

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology or business-related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Cable/Telecom products and servicesConsulting backgroundExperience with relational databases and unstructured databasesExperience with MicroStrategy, Tableau, Teradata, Cloud Governance, Snowflake, Data Catalog, AWSProject ManagementData Governance
