The BI and Analytics Manager at MiTek will lead the business intelligence (BI) and analytics team with a focus on Power BI, AI-driven insights, and deep analytics. This role is key in transforming raw data into actionable intelligence by leveraging advanced analytical techniques, AI, and robust Power BI reporting. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end analytics process, ensuring the delivery of sophisticated data insights that support business strategy and decision-making.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

What You Will Do: 

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BI analysts, data scientists, and AI specialists. Define and execute the BI and analytics strategy, integrating Power BI and AI to deliver deep, predictive, and prescriptive insights. Manage analytics project lifecycles, including resource allocation, timelines, and deliverables. Collaborate with department leaders to align data-driven strategies with business objectives. Lead the design, development, and optimization of Power BI dashboards, ensuring they incorporate AI and machine learning (ML) models to deliver predictive insights. Oversee the integration of AI and advanced analytics into Power BI to automate decision-making processes. Ensure Power BI visualizations are not only insightful but also dynamic and responsive, allowing for real-time data updates and actionable insights. Apply AI and ML techniques to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities in large, complex datasets. Drive the adoption of AI and deep learning to enhance forecasting, classification, and optimization in business processes. Develop predictive models that forecast business outcomes and recommend optimal strategies. Collaborate with data science teams to implement AI-driven solutions that can be seamlessly integrated into BI platforms. Contribute to the data governance process, ensuring high standards of data quality, accuracy, and security. Work with data engineers to design scalable data architectures that support both BI and AI initiatives. Manage and optimize ETL processes for the seamless integration of multiple data sources. Implement data enrichment strategies, leveraging both internal and external data to enhance decision-making. Utilize statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and AI tools to drive deep data exploration and hypothesis testing. Lead advanced analytics initiatives such as customer segmentation, churn prediction, demand forecasting, and operational optimization. Regularly evaluate and introduce cutting-edge analytical tools and methodologies, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of innovation. Partner with business units, including marketing, finance, operations, software development and sales, to understand their analytics needs and deliver tailored insights. Present findings and recommendations derived from BI, AI, and advanced analytics in a clear, compelling manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Provide training and support on the use of Power BI and advanced analytics tools, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization Stay updated on the latest developments in AI, deep analytics, and Power BI to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative. Lead initiatives to adopt new tools and technologies, driving process improvements and increasing the impact of the analytics function. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that the BI and analytics team adopts an agile approach to delivering insights.

Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, or data science, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, AI, and advanced analytics techniques. Proven experience in leading AI and machine learning initiatives integrated into business intelligence tools. Expert in Power BI, including advanced DAX, Power Query, and report/dashboard development. Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks and experience building AI models. Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python and SQL for data manipulation and machine learning. Experience with cloud platforms for AI and analytics services. Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data architecture.

Physical Demands

This role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role. This role may need to access areas within the building that are undergoing renovations which may contain jobsite hazards. Occasionally this role will required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
