As a Power BI Developer, you will be a key member of the Varian Intelligent Data Analytics development team. You will play an essential role in designing and implementing data analytics solutions, focusing on creating intuitive and impactful Power BI reports and dashboards. Your work will enable Field Service engineers and Customers worldwide to access data-driven insights for informed decision-making. This role is ideal for someone passionate about data visualization and analytics, with strong expertise in Power BI, Snowflake, data flows, and an understanding of Azure infrastructure and SQL. You will work closely with developers, data engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver advanced analytics solutions and respond to ad hoc data requests.

Develop Power BI Reports and Dashboards: Create interactive, user-friendly reports and dashboards that visualize data in ways that align with business needs. 
 

Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with Data Analysts, Business SMEs, and Engineers to understand data requirements and deliver insights through Power BI solutions. 
 

Data Model Creation: Design and develop data models to support reporting requirements, optimizing performance and scalability within Power BI. 
 

DAX Development: Write complex DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) queries to generate calculated columns and measures in Power BI, ensuring accurate insights from large datasets. 
 

Data Transformation and Data Flows: Use Power Query and Power BI Data Flows to extract, transform, and load data (ETL) from various data sources into Power BI, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for real-time analysis. 
 

Snowflake Integration: Leverage Snowflake as a data warehouse solution for Power BI to create scalable, performant data models and integrate Power BI reports with Snowflake-based datasets. 
 

Ad Hoc Data Requests: Respond to business-driven ad hoc data requests, providing quick and effective reporting solutions and insights based on stakeholder needs. 
 

Integration with Azure: Work within Azure environments, integrating Power BI with Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and other relevant data platforms. 
 

Report Optimization: Analyze existing reports and dashboards to improve performance and user experience, employing best practices in Power BI report design. 

Documentation: Develop and maintain clear, concise documentation of Power BI reports, processes, data flows, and data sources to ensure transparency and maintainability. 
 

Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to end-users on Power BI functionalities and best practices for data analysis.
