Job Summary
Provide an extensive level of Business Objects Enterprise XI3.x and 4.x, Informatica 8.6/9.1 and/or Data Services 4.x ETL platform support. Supply technical middleware expertise to large business system consultations and problem resolution. Performs functions to install and implement new systems and modify existing applications to meet the goals of the organization. Plans, organizes, and coordinates projects or phases of projects. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with customers, developers, and coworkers.
Key Activities
Nstalling, configuring, deploying and fine-tuning BI tools.
Extensive experience with Security, planning, user administration and data migrations.
Good knowledge of Server administration as well as troubleshooting issues and performance tuning.
Need to handle Application maintenance by applying upgrades and patches.
Should be able to lead multiple projects including technology evaluation, infrastructure design, and implementation planning.
Collaborating with cross-functional and technical teams to review and enhance performance levels.
Develop technical requirements and estimates for project work and business cases.
Participate in production support and maintenance of existing reports, including solution builds and unit, system and UAT testing.
Assist where applicable in maintaining and monitor existing reports, data loads, extracts and repositories.
Work with vendors to elevate and resolve application issues as needed
Coordinates major installations, updates, maintains and monitors the operation of the major systems Responsible for change management through existing systems and platforms for patches and development changes, including moving projects from development servers to production servers.
Establishes and maintains procedures/documentation for supported automation products.
Plans, organizes, and coordinates complex projects or phases of large projects.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university preferred
At least three years Informatica Power Center v8/9 and Business Objects R3/4 support that includes installing, configuring, administering, and patching.
Working administration knowledge of Windows Serer 2008 or higher required, Base knowledge of Linux/Solaris 10 is a large plus
Strong skills in new product evaluation, architecture, implementation, and integration with Data Warehouse (DW) and Business Intelligence (BI) applications
Strong problem analysis and problem resolution skills from an O/S, database, and application perspective, with proven ability to recognize and execute process improvements
SQL Database 2005 and 2008 / Oracle 11.x a plus
WebSphere knowledge a plus
Ability to work well with clients and individually as well as in a high collaborative team.
Strong written and verbal skills as well as presentation skills
Ability to absorb and understand business requirements quickly.
Self-motivated with ability to work effectively and cooperatively with both project and infrastructure teams and to work both independently and as part of a larger team
Demonstrated trend to stay current with technology
Position may require weekend or evening hours and being on call
