Bicycle Mechanic

Summary

The bicycle mechanic will ensure the mechanic safety of our bikes for guest usage.

Job Duties                              
•    Assemble new bikes and perform quality control checks
•    Ability to match customers with the bike, equipment and accessories that best fit their physical needs and ability levels
•    Repair bikes to the highest of standards, including assessing damage and estimating repairs (from complete overhauls to quick walk-in repairs)
•    Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on bicycles (e.g., cleaning, changing tires, make adjustments).
•    Keep a detailed service log and input all maintenance documentation on software for tracking and inventory management
•    Respond to customer requests for assistance or repairs.
•    Maintain proper maintenance inventory and supplies.
•    Ability to diagnose bike issues and recommend additional parts & labor when necessary
•    Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
•    Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).
•    Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
•    Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. 
•    Attention to customer service with a professional and pleasant personality.
•    Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
•    Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
•    Ability to train staff on bike repairs

REQUIREMENTS                                            
•    Working knowledge of how bikes are assembled and repaired 
•    Familiarity with all types of bikes and bike accessories 
•    1+ years of work experience with bicycles (electric or not) 
•    Experience with assembly and maintenance of electric components of a bike
