Bid Analyst

This position is responsible for preparing and completing all bids on behalf of Shamrock Foods Company ensuring customer pricing accuracy/competitiveness and company profitability.  

\n

Essential Duties:

\n\nReviews all school bid requests outlining key information and RFP (Request for Proposal) specifications.\nPrepare school bids for all Shamrock locations, working cross functionally with other internal departments, timely consolidating and submitting bid.\nUnderstand School Pricing Modules. \nResponsible for the accuracy bid submittal data. \nManage Vendor/Broker relationships coordinating price requests and all necessary documentation.\nUnderstand how to read RFPs, nutrition panels, formulation data sheets, Child Nutrition Labels, NOI (commodities).\nProduct Matching between vendor and Shamrock codes.\nHandle all vendor price increase notifications and vendor discrepancy inquiries. \nMonitor item changes and manage external (customer) and internal (cross functional) communication.\nRun and Analyze reporting.\nPerforming other duties as assigned.\n\n

Qualifications: 

\n\nBachelor's degree and 2+ years related experience and training; or five years equivalent combination of education and/or experience. \nA strong background in purchasing, contract administration, pricing deviations/billbacks and sales experience is a plus.\nAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.\nMust have problem solving skills to navigate through the situation and provide a resolution.\nMust be highly organized, detail oriented, ability to multitask, works well in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills. \nAble to follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures.\nMust be proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically Word and Excel. \n \nMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department especially during bid season, which are subject to working nights, weekends, and holidays.\n\n
