The SAS Global Bid & Proposal Center of Excellence leads responses to customer solicitations, proactive proposals and due diligence questionnaires.  We maximize win rates and financial return on bids and proposals for new and exist​​​​​​​ing business by creating operational and selling strategies that complement each other. We employ recognized best practices to continuously improve quality and take advantage of information technology to maximize efficiency. We capitalize on the power of individual strengths to build a successful team that supports SAS’ mission. 

 

As an intern, you might: 

Capture and coordinate best practices; including assets across global bid management.  Support the global bid team in preparing and compiling bid documents, ensuring all requirements are met. Conduct research on potential clients, competitors and market trends to inform bid strategies.Organize and maintain bid documentation, including templates, past proposals and reference materials, Collaborate with various departments (e.g., sales, consulting, legal) to gather necessary information for bids. Review and proofread bid documents to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with client requirements.  Create and manage large language model or content repository for Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.Design graphics to convey win themes visually. Help organize post-proposal evaluations with internal and external team members. Help respond to customer’s due diligence questionnaires to meet cybersecurity and compliance requirements.

 

Required Qualifications

Students currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Journalism, Knowledge/Content Management, Marketing, Technical Communications, or a related field.You are a strategic thinker, creative problem-solver and deadline-driven team player.  You have experience with Microsoft tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams), researching, creating graphics, persuasive writing; knowledge/content management, meeting facilitation, coordination of resources.Work Hours: Available to work 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and full-time hours during the summer of 2025.  You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. Your past experiences demonstrate you’ll take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty.You’re interested in the future of Analytics and embrace technology.You’re a college student enrolled in an accredited program, not graduating prior to December 2025.

 

Internship dates: This is a year-round internship position that will start in January 2025 and continue on through the summer working full-time.

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $31 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph. D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
