About the team
The finance department of Thales Nederland consists of ~50 team members organized in 2 different competence centers (clusters):

Shared Services Accounting, Reporting & Controlling;
Bid & Project, Industrial and Procurement Control (Business Control)
The Business Control department is responsible for the management accounting and program control of all the projects and the supply chain within Hengelo and Huizen.We need a Project Controller to support us in our challenging segment Systems & Solution located in Hengelo.

About the future job
As a key team member, you will act as the primary financial advisor and partner within your designated area. Your role involves providing strategic financial guidance, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving finance-related improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Financial Guidance: Offer financial insights to support decision-making and strategy.
• Risk and Opportunity Management: Identify and communicate risks and opportunities related to projects and initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive finance-related improvements and collaborate across functions to optimize processes.
• Effective Communication: Clearly communicate financial challenges and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Process Optimization: Regularly review and adapt financial processes to meet organizational needs.

Main Tasks:
• Prepare and analyze reports, budgets, and forecasts; present financial data to senior management.
• Monitor and challenge project expenditures and deliveries.
• Evaluate and implement policies and performance standards.
• Support the preparation of annual budgets, business plans, and forecasts.
• Contribute to bid preparation and presentation.
• Ensure financial integrity and adherence to processes (Chorus 2.0).
• Support internal improvement projects and collaborate across organizational levels.
