JOB SUMMARY
1. Existing customer maintenance - communication with e-mail, phone, visitation customers company accounts
2. Correspondence between overseas agent, partners and branch offices for quote and/or co- ordination
3. Marketing analysis, presentation materials, proposal against customers need and requirement
4. Price and service negotiation with carriers, and vendors for cost reduction
Responsible for executing all functions related to the successful operation of this position and to provide top notch customer service with continual improvement in mind.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate and maintain until complete shipments for overseas offices
2. Sales Support: assist with collections, set up meetings & presentations and create reports,
3. Maintain customer files up to date.
4. Assist with operation procedures; and send/verify alerts, logistic services,
5. Contact airlines, logistics companies, and carriers to set up rates,
6. Prepare and send rates to customers
7. Ensure that the customers understand TSA, ISF any other Government Regulations in regards to importing and exporting
8. Maintain air rates and ocean rates make sure they are current and at market value
9. Make sure “Known Shipper” validations are complete
10. Assist with import duties, quoting import rates, and explaining procedures,
11. Set up and maintain competitive rates for local and domestic services
12. Invoice third party, research invoicing issues for customers and accounting
13. Arrange booking of ocean freight LCL/FCL
14. Set up shipments with operations making sure the customer’s instructions are followed
15. Assist with any duties or projects when called upon and complete them in the time allotted.
16. Perform other duties as assigned by Branch Manager
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· Basic English reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
· Japanese reading, writing and speaking skills required
· Knowledge of office processes, procedures, and technology, Experience in supervising team activities.
· Ability to read and interpret accounting and financial reports.
· Two to three years of office experience which includes Customer Service.
· Excellent communication skills.
