BILINGUAL CHILD ADVOCATE

Summary

JOB SUMMARY: The Child Advocate has an important role at Center for Hope's Children's Advocacy Center (CAC), in providing assistance, support, and nurturance of children and youth visiting the center. This person will utilize a child-friendly, trauma-informed and trauma-responsive lens in their approach. The Child Advocate strives to provide an optimal environment to assist youth by promoting effective coping and healthy development through education, play, mindfulness practices, and therapeutic activities

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field in Early/Elementary Education, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology etc Bilingual in English and Spanish required 1 to 3 years of related experience including trauma work experience Understanding of cultural humility and anti-racism framework Mon-Fri: 3 days 9am-5:30pm,  2 days 10:30am-7pm. No on-call required.
