Bilingual (English and Spanish) Cooking Swing Shift Supervisor

Himalayan Pet Supply is looking for an energetic, passionate individual to serve as its Cooking Supervisor in our Production Department's Swing Shift.
Starting with a creation by two brothers in 2003, Himalayan created a new category in the pet industry, thus changing the dog chew class significantly. By 2016, we became a leader in the industry as we expanded out into other pet categories, transforming our company from a single product-oriented business to a pet supply company.
Reporting directly to the Production General Manager, the Swing Shift Supervisor is responsible for driving the cooking departments results through effective resource management, safe operating procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), and regulatory compliance.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments to ensure the production of products to meet customer specifications, company quality standards, and customer delivery requirements.
+ Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, safety standards and quality of products.
+ Train, coach and involve employees; appraise performance; offer praise and hold accountable; address complaints and resolve problems.
+ Oversee and review all required paperwork, reports and documentation.
+ Coordinate the production planning process with the other departments for downtime for PM and Work Order completion.
+ Actively participate on cross-functional teams for the continuous on-going improvement of methods and processes.
+ Continually review, recommend and implement programs to comply with all State, Federal and local safety and sanitation regulations and employment issues.
+ Ensure proper up-keep of equipment; address and resolve problems; initiate work orders for repairs.
+ Maintain a high level of completion of quality initiatives for the plant such as CAPA Completion/SQF Preparedness/HAACP Awareness/GMP’s
+ Provides excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
+ Reports to work on time and works overtime as required and if required.
+ Overseeing the production process: from the entry of the raw material to the exits of the finish goods.
+ Performs all other duties as assigned.
WORK EXPERIENCES
+ 3+ years leadership experience, preferably in food manufacturing
+ Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and develop a team of up to 20 associates on a daily basis.
+ Leads by example to create and maintain a workplace culture that engages and motivates associates at all levels.
+ Demonstrated ability to communicate and develop relationships across all levels and functions of the organization to support overall business success.
+ Proven ability to make sound decisions regarding resource utilization and needs.
+ Experience implementing Continuous Improvement tools to improve Packaging & OEE Performance preferred
+ Prior knowledge of ADP and ERP systems a plus
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
+ This position directly supervises a team of up to 20 hourly associates
ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)
+ Microsoft office and PC skills
+ Familiar with ERP
+ Work extended days and/or weekends with flexibility to switch shifts as required
+ Aptitude for teambuilding and employee engagement.
+ Results-oriented, process improvement focused.
+ Highly organized, self-starter that can work with little direct supervision.
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish a must

Compensation: $25-$28 per hour
Work Hours (Swing Shift): 3pm to 11:30pm Monday through Friday
