The Vice President of Sales for the Eastern Region will be responsible for expanding our business and driving revenue by leading a team of sales professionals who market our products and services to potential clients throughout Eastern Canada. Your team will collaborate closely with our existing referral partners and Merchant Services colleagues to foster new business opportunities. These opportunities will be cultivated through your innovative approach and collaborative efforts across the bank and other key partnership channels.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, focusing on growth and revenue targets within strategically aligned markets or channels.
Collaborate with peers and senior management to define, develop, and implement sales strategies tailored to specific market or channel objectives.
Analyze the market landscape to identify solutions for optimal success and present enhancement opportunities to senior management.
Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with internal and external partners to drive sales results in the aligned market or channel.
Act as an internal ambassador for payment sales, fostering relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
Develop a high-performing team and retain top talent through recruitment, training, recognition initiatives, and career planning.
Maintain an understanding of business risks, ensure appropriate oversight of risk management initiatives, and partner with senior management to address and resolve risks.
Coach managers and employees to integrate compliance and controls into customer discussions to better understand clients' businesses.
Qualifications:
Over 10 years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding revenue and retention goals.
Bilingual in French.
Experience managing a sales team (inside or field) with strong negotiation, selling, influencing, and presentation skills.
Extensive knowledge of the functional discipline with over 5 years of management experience, demonstrating strategic planning, development, and business growth focus.
Experience in contract negotiation within the payments or technology industries.
Payment processing experience with in-depth knowledge of product and pricing suites.
Proven success in collaboration across diverse financial institutions, particularly with relationship bankers, product, service, and operations partners.
Deep understanding of controls and compliance, with extensive experience working with these functions.
Willingness to travel approximately 25% - 50% of the time, as the team covers Eastern Canada.
A post-secondary degree is preferred.
