Job description

The Bilingual Human Resources Business Partner performs duties at the professional level in some or all the following functional areas: employee relations, training, labor relations, affirmative action and employment equity program, benefits management, onboarding, and policy implementation. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action. Coaches, counsels, and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actionsActs as an employee relations specialistWill lead Employee Engagement activitiesWill lead drive the overall Employee ExperienceEnsures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9Distributes and monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner (i.e., three months, six months, one year and yearly thereafter)Updates, monitors and maintains eligible salary adjustments/increases based on three- and six-month and one-year evaluationsHandles employee relations counselingParticipates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminarsAssists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goalsRecommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performedFacilitates or provides training (including orientation) to the workforceMaintains and coordinates employee recognition programs Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field required.Bilingual – Fluent in both Spanish and English3+ years Human resource experience in a manufacturing/production settingStrong Employee relations experience: creating and delivering people practices which develop - and maintain - positive working relationships between an organization and its peopleExperience in performing and managing HR Investigations and ReportingHR experience in managing and implementing programs and processes related to employee training, labor relations, affirmative action, employment equity, benefits management, onboarding, etcStrong technical acumen in MS Excel and PowerPointStrong Interpersonal skillsVery detailed and accurateExcellent time management and prioritization skills – with the ability to pivot gracefully as business needs and priorities changeAbility to relate to individuals within all levels of the organizationEmotional intelligenceAbility to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of employeesSHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification preferred Additional information
