Insurance Specialist

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

This role requires visits to our clinics in NJ or Los Angeles, depending on candidates' location.

On-site visits to our clinics will be 2-3 days per week. Work from Home the other 2-3 days of the week. Travel to other clinics in central CA, Southern CA, Texas, Michigan, and New Jersey maybe required/as needed

The candidate must reside in or near Jersey City, North Bergen NJ or Los Angeles, CA.

Valid driver’s license – Insurance Educators will drive their personal automobiles to get from one clinic to another.  A valid driver’s license within the state you are applying is required, with an acceptable driving record

Insurance Counseling Act as a liaison between patients, facility teammates, billing office and the corporate office to resolve patient insurance issues and/or concernsIdentify, resolve or escalate issues as appropriate for prompt and effective resolutionProactively build relationships with patientsProactively review patient lists with Social Workers and other clinic teammates to identify potential patient insurance issuesProactively build relationships with clinical and regional resources to emphasize and integrate Insurance Management prioritiesPartner with Social Workers to maintain awareness of patient insurance questionsPatient InteractionAssist Medicare patients with understanding their Chronic Special Needs Plan, Medicare and Medicare Advantage optionsProvide high-level of customer service to ensure patient questions or issues are addressed effectivelyProvide information to patients to help them find and/or secure the insurance coverage of their choiceReportingManage and update tracking tools as appropriateReview trends with team and operational leadershipProvide monthly reporting and analysis on key metrics related to patient education and advocacyCompile monthly operations reviews on assigned patient portfolioOther duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as neededKnow, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company proceduresParticipate as requested in special projects and Insurance Management Team initiativesMentor team members as appropriate on Insurance Management practicesShadow new hires to mentor and to provide training as neededHere is what you can expect when you join our Village:A "community first, company second" culture based on Core Values that really matter.Clinical outcomes consistently ranked above the national average.Award-winning education and training across multiple career paths to help you reach your potential.Performance-based rewards based on stellar individual and team contributions.A comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance your health, your financial well-being and your future.Dedication, above all, to caring for patients suffering from chronic kidney failure across the nation.

Salary/ Wage Range

$17.50 - $30.00 / hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
