Bilingual Jr Accountant Location US-NY-New York Job ID 2024-2474 Job Family BUSOPS Job Type Full-Time Shift Days Monday-Friday Shift Hours 9am-5pm Salary Range $42,000 Hours Per Week 35 Overview Perform monthly financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' dataPrepare bills, invoicesReconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as Prepare, verify, and process invoices for sales or services renderedEnter data on invoices; ensure proper coding on documentsPost customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions and entering them into the general ledger or accounting softwareReconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly postedVerify the validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments and customersResolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entriesResolve invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions proceduresResolve collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line; coordinating contact with collections departmentSummarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts, coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account, verifying totals; preparing reportsPrepare analysis for the programs in chargeProtect organization's value by keeping information confidentialUpdate job knowledge by participating in educational opportunitiesMaintains individuals living in Foundling DD homes personal spending bank accountsConfirms monthly social security payments for personal allowances are deposited into individuals' bank accounts
