Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Department: Warehouse

FLSA: Exempt

General Function
Responsible for overseeing shift operations of the warehouse and supervision of the work force. This position is salaried and will require flexibility in scheduling including weekends working a minimum of 45 hours per week.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for accurately assigning warehouse personal to specific task and reviewing each task throughout the shift to ensure all required processes are completed in a timely manner.Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the shift including but not limited to: job rotation of task, loading, receiving, replenishment, put a ways and picking issues.Scheduling of manpower including approving time off request and schedule changes.Completes incident reports to give appropriate feedback to employees on shift.Ensures compliance with company policies and administers disciplinary action when necessary.Submits documentation for employee file.Maintains warehouse sanitation and housekeeping standards and practices.Enforces safety rules, regulations, and company policies to see that they are practiced at all times.Responsible for monitoring shift employees productivity.Performs employee development by mentoring, training and retraining as needed and completing employee performance reviews.  Assist in the hiring process by participating with interviews, reviewing credentials, and making recommendations for hiring decisions.Assists with administration and development of warehouse training and communication programs.Monitors employee absences, tardiness, and addresses warehouse attendance policy violations.Ensures that security measures and practices are implemented and complies with all Lomar security procedures when monitoring non-Lomar employed truck drivers and/or visitors.Attends departmental and company meetings.Conducts shift meeting as needed.Reports to work when scheduled and on time and adheres to company policies and department guidelines.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborates with designated employees and management to solve work-related problems.Works with logistics department with inbound and outbound freight.Assist with will-call add on orders.Other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent requiredTwo years of Warehouse Supervisor preferredKnowledge of warehouse operations, and product knowledge is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to physically perform heavy work: exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently and 20 pounds of force constantly to move objectsVisual requirements include vision from 20 inches or less to 20 feet or more with or without   correction, color vision, field of vision, and depth perceptionMust be able to perform the following physical activities:Standing, walking, pushing, lifting, reaching, grasping, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling and repetitive motions

Working Conditions
The duties of this position are performed in a warehouse setting with heights reaching 30 feet in the air. There will be exposure to noise, dust, dirt and equipment including batteries. There is significant pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks each shift. Dry warehouse temperatures will vary based on outdoor climate (generally between 60 and 80 degrees). Some employees could be asked to work in our refrigerated warehouse where temperatures can vary from 48 to 52 degrees.

Stock picker, electric pallet jack, forklift, turret truck, Vocollect, Windows based PC, printer, wireless devices, telephone, fax, copier, calculator, internet, product management software, and Microsoft Office products

Contacts
Has daily contact with warehouse employees, office employees, inbound trucking companies, distribution centers, sales representatives and retail store personnel.
