**Second Shift Bilingual Safety Coordinator** **$62,000 - $86,000/yr | Fremont, NE** **We are looking for a 2nd shift Bilingual Safety Coordinator to work for a very reputable company in Fremont, NE. This position will be "the eyes of safety" in the manufacturing facility. You will be reporting to the Director of Safety and working with the EHS team.** **Job Description** Responsible for fostering a safety conscious culture in the workplace to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment. Work with employees to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements by helping them understand best practices and recognizing potential hazards. Develop, present, and track all safety training in the company. **Responsibilities** + Develop, present and track all safety training, in coordination with safety consultants, including OSHA compliance programs. + Assist with developing the Company Job Safety Analysis program. + Assist with managing company safety policies and OSHA compliance programs. + Evaluate health and safety policies, procedures, and programs. + Manage information and records related to the Safety Management Program. + Ensure timely completion of annual OSHA 300 Log. + Research regulatory requirements, industry standards and health and safety best practices. + Maintain records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions. **Essential Skills** + Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to food manufacturing. + Knowledge of hazardous materials and handling procedures. + Understanding of Federal, State and local laws related to safety requirements. + Skill in developing and administering training to large audiences. + Proficiency in using a personal computer and a variety of software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. + Skill in analyzing data and reporting on findings. + Proficiency in communicating in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing. + Skill in making decisions based on general administrative guidelines. + Ability to problem solve. + Ability to represent the Company and display the highest levels of ethical behavior and integrity at all times. + Ability to work flexible hours. + Ability to work independently and in a team environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Associate’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field. + Minimum of two years of experience in a similar position. + Safety certifications, such as OSHA #511 – Occupational Safety & Health Standards for General Industry is preferred. + Previous experience in a manufacturing and/or food industry environment is helpful. **Why Work Here?** Direct hire position with great benefits, including a Costco membership.
