Excellent position for a social worker with a background serving Latine, Spanish-speaking communities and experience in working with adults with serious illness. This role is under the Division of Social Work at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the Department of Psychosocial Oncology and Palliative Care. In this exciting role as a dedicated ambulatory social worker providing clinical oncology social work services with an additional unique focus, you will aim to identify gaps in service; build education and training; create programming; and make recommendations for systems improvements and integration to meet the needs of Latine, Spanish-speaking patients in order to improve the patient and family experience throughout the process of cancer care. The social worker will provide in-person and telehealth services to patients and families (i.e., phone/Zoom video) with a specialty in the provision of culturally attuned psychosocial care conducted in Spanish. Modalities include individual, family, and group work. Candidate must be able to thrive in a fast paced, complex, academic medical environment where the social worker is a key, valued member of the multidisciplinary medical team.
