You will oversee initiatives aimed at improving community health outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cultural and social dynamics, experience in healthcare, social work, or community outreach, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
ResponsibilitiesPlan, develop, and implement health education programs for diverse communitiesProvide specialized health information and skills training to various community and private sector groupsLead a team of Public Health Educators in developing and delivering outreach initiativesFoster community engagement by collaborating with local organizations and stakeholdersEnsure compliance with city health policies and perform other duties as assignedQualifications and RequirementsBachelor's degree in Education, Behavioral Science, Public Health, or a closely related fieldA Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for required experienceTwo years of experience in Public Health, Education, or a closely related fieldExperience in healthcare, social work, or community outreach preferredCommunity Health Worker certification preferredStrong understanding of community cultural and social dynamicsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsBilingual in English and Spanish requiredMust have a valid Texas Driver’s License Must be up to date on vaccinationsBenefits and Perks$25.00 per hourMedical BenefitsPaid Holidays
