Bilingual Spanish Bookkeeper
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bilingual Spanish Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish and demonstrate strong accounting skills, ensuring accurate financial records for various clients. This role involves bookkeeping tasks such as managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and producing financial statements, while also catering to Spanish-speaking clients with professionalism and clarity. Key Responsibilities: + Perform full-cycle bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations. + Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports. + Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients to explain financial processes, reporting, and transactions. + Assist in preparing financial statements and delivering month-end and year-end closings. + Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasting as needed. + Maintain accurate records by using accounting software such as QuickBooks or other platforms. + Ensure compliance with relevant local accounting regulations and tax laws. + Handle filing and submission of tax forms, payments, and other regulatory documentation on behalf of clients. + Troubleshoot discrepancies in accounts and resolve client inquiries promptly. + Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting procedures and improve accuracy. Requirements + Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role. + Fluency in both Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages. + Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms. + Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). + Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail. + Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently. + Strong problem-solving skills and client service orientation. + Knowledge of payroll regulations and federal/state tax compliance. + Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
