We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bilingual Spanish Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the payroll process, ensuring accuracy while addressing the unique needs of a diverse, bilingual (Spanish/English) workforce. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processing regulations, excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Payroll Administration:
+ Process and manage bi-weekly or weekly payroll for multiple employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
+ Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as company policies.
+ Calculate and process deductions, bonuses, overtime, and adjustments
+ Bilingual Employee Support:
+ Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from Spanish-speaking employees. Provide clear communication and guidance in Spanish and English regarding paychecks, deductions, and timesheet entries.
+ Assist with onboarding by explaining payroll processes and responding to relevant questions in both languages.
+ Timesheet Management:
+ Review, audit, and maintain employee timesheets to ensure accurate time tracking and compliance with company policies
+ Compliance & Documentation:
+ Ensure all payroll transactions comply with tax laws, labor regulations, and company standards.
+ Maintain accurate and secure payroll files, ensuring confidentiality.
+ Collaboration & Reporting:
+ Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to resolve payroll issues and discrepancies.
+ Prepare and deliver payroll-related reports for management, as required.
+ Technology Use:
+ Utilize payroll software to streamline and accurately process payroll transactions.
+ Adopt and ensure familiarity with company-specific tools and systems.
Requirements
+ Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in both Spanish and English (written and verbal).
+ Experience: 2+ years of payroll administration experience, preferably in a bilingual or high-volume environment.
+ Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
+ Knowledge: Familiarity with payroll best practices, tax compliance, and labor laws.
+ Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
