Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (Spanish)

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Provide supervision to speech therapy assistants; assess, analyze, and develop reports regarding the speech disability condition; maintain apprpriate records and files; evaluate effectiveness of speech-language program; conduct necessary screenings; provid therapy to identified students as required; educate and consult with parents and teachers regarding speech disabilities in special education students

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

     Education/Certification: 

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology form accredited university or college Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Licensed to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Texas

     Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to observe, assess and record progress of students with speech impairments Strong problem-solving skills Strong consultaion skills for conferencing with teacher, parents and others Ability to supervise and train speech-language assistants Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in speaking and writing Spanish

     Experience:

Open to clinical fellows

Works a 202 day calendar

 

Salary + $5000.00 Stipend
