Job Description

Work Arrangement:

Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. The successful candidate is expected to report to one of the following locations on a full-time basis: Warren, MI; Arlington, TX; Spring Hill, TN; Kansas City, KS; or Wentzville, MO on a full-time basis.

This role requires up to 50% domestic and international travel.

WHY: The primary purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive support for all the Electrical Bill of Operations (BoO) across all GM North American manufacturing Plants. This role is essential in ensuring that our plants operate efficiently and effectively, ultimately contributing to our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

WHAT: As a Bill of Operations Process & Standards SME you will be tasked with improving, implementing, assisting all General Motors plants with their Electrical Bill of Operations, which serves as the critical framework of our manufacturing process.

HOW: By consistently providing support to the plants ensuring we meet our customers' needs effectively.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

Support, Update, maintain and review the Electrical Bill of Operations (BoO) standards at all plants.

Provide support to all plants for 100% compliance with Electrical BoO standards.

Create/Update/Communicate/Roll out BoO Standard updates that support best process practices.

Support Monthly meetings with Vehicle Electrical Systems Managers (VESMs)-Roll out any new standards / updates.

Electrical First Time Quality (EFTQ) read across focus on 94.5% for Global A plants & 90.5% for VIP plants.

Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges.

Build and nurture strategic relationships across various functions including software, manufacturing, and program management to synergize efforts towards future innovations.

Additional Job Description

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

2+ years of Vehicle Manufacturing Experience. Experience with End of Line test stations (i.e., DVT Coordinator, Module QE, Diagnostician)Effective communication: ability to identify issues and find a solution.Self-motivation and the ability to work in a diverse environment.

Bachelor's degree in engineeringOverall vehicle electrical system experienceAutomotive assembly plant operations experienceFamiliarity with vehicle electrical architecture (i.e., ISO 14229, Cybersecurity, Ethernet)Electrical Engineering experienceExperience with Capturing Data (VSPY, DPS)Understanding of GM quality systems and GM vehicle development processExperience with GM Software Systems (SPD, SPR, VCAM, Deviator)Experience with GM IT systems (i.e., GSIP, GEPICS, MERS, PRTS, ECM, APS)
