Day Shift
Pay Rate $18
Responsibilities:
· Completes new admission paperwork by conducting daily in-person interviews to obtain financial and health insurance information. Obtains precertification for insurance patients. Determines pay sources available for billing and established ability to pay based on patient’s resources to close the case in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
· Manages primary and secondary insurance billing by creating electronic claims for all payors. Create and submit insurance claims and billing statements. Manages Accounts Receivable for patient liability.
· Post insurance remittances and patient receipts on accounts. Balance and enter receipts on cash sheet. Manage denials and monitor unpaid claims. Contact third party insurance for status of claim. Send appeal letters to insurance payor. Maintain charges entered in the patient EMR.
· Gather insurance data for audits. Send information to Social Security Office on patients who receive SSI benefits. Assist patients with Medicaid applications. Manage outstanding debt log.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ High School graduate
+ 1 year experience with filing Medicare, Medicaid and/or Commercial Insurance claims and posting insurance remittances. Electronic medical records system.
+ Knowledge of relevant accounting software
+ Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) also required.
+ Capable of handling problem resolution in a calm and clear manner.
+ Ability to build and maintain strong customer and client relationships and networks.

**Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour
