Job Description
This role involves joining the Advisor Relations and Billing Team, which ensures appropriate selling agreements are in place with new and existing financial advisor firms and facilitates payments to these firms and other business partners. The Billing team manages all aspects of fee billing, including fee calculation, validation, debiting/crediting, reconciliation, reporting, maintenance, and payment facilitation to Financial Advisor Firms, Financial Advisors, and Strategists. The team handles 4 quarterly cycles and 12 monthly billing cycles annually.
ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate monthly and/or quarterly billing tasksProcess and oversee 3rd party/partner payment processes, such as Marketing Support/Premier BD paymentsPrepare daily 3rd party custodian fee account reconciliationPerform daily peer review/QC of billing maintenance requestsWork closely with other teams to deliver complex analysis and reporting requestsImplement and review negotiated fee agreementsProvide subject matter expertise to business partners and support the introduction or enhancement of products and servicesContinuously upgrade billing standard operating proceduresIdentify and collaborate with technology partners on system and process improvementsPrepare monthly team metrics and daily team dashboardGenerate and deliver invoices and billing statements for AssetMark Retirement PlanMonitor the quarterly plan-level revenue collection process for AssetMark Retirement PlansEnsure all billing follow-up procedures are completed within established timelines for AssetMark Retirement PlansProactively identify gaps or challenges in processes that require change and follow through on solutions from beginning to endEssential SkillsStrong Excel skills, including Vlookup and pivot tablesExperience in accounting and billingKnowledge of financial services, particularly in billing systems and invoice processingExperience in wealth management, banking, and reconciliationUnderstanding of finance and finance managementExperience with SaaS billingAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the financial services industry or financial product knowledgeExperience with retirement-related products is a plusExperience in the SaaS billing or financial services or banking industry preferredWork Environment
This is a hybrid role with work-from-home days on Monday and Friday, and on-site presence required from Tuesday to Thursday. Start times are flexible, between 7:30am-8am. You will be working closely with the Billing department as well as directly with Relationship Managers and Advisors. Collaboration with other Advisor Services teams is essential, requiring excellent communication and a team player attitude.
