Your Role
As a Gensler Billing and Financial Analyst you will be responsible for financial account management and analysis for the firm’s projects and business practices. You will succeed because you are highly organized and passionate about ensuring the financial health of assigned projects throughout the project life cycle, from project due diligence to client invoicing and collections. Join a team of highly creative, collaborative colleagues and partner with Gensler project managers to ensure our projects are beautiful and financially sound.
What You Will Do
Work closely with Design Managers, clients, and consultants to discuss billing and financial issues.Interpret financial data in contracts and billings and accurately convey them.Follow up and assist with collection efforts.Maintain and monitor project-specific budgets, spreadsheets, and reports.Determine and set up the best billing terms and invoice formats.Prepare and process invoices in line with project contractual arrangements.Adhere to monthly invoicing deadlines.Retrieve and match backup to invoices where necessary.Meet regularly with Design Managers and Studio Directors to review schedule, billing, held time, and collection issues.Prepare journal entries and research general ledger issues.Develop an understanding of our accounting software to be seen as an expert and resource for staff.Cross-train and work closely with other team members to function as a cohesive and high-performing team. Assist the team with any ad-hoc projects or analyses.Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related area is highly desired.5 years of experience working in billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and compliance.Strong knowledge of compliance requirements in financial processes, reporting, and contract management.Bilingual in English SpanishExperience in dealing with multiple currencies, exchange rates, and taxesExcellent Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office productsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage different personality types.
