This Opportunity:
The
Palladium Group has an opening for a Billing Associate within the Billing
department. The person in this position will be responsible for compiling
and maintaining accurate and complete accounts receivable records ensuring
company invoices are billed and collected in a timely manner and in compliance
with all applicable regulations for government contractors.
Location and Compensation:
The position is based in Palladium’s
Washington D.C. office.
For our prospective employees in the United States, please note
that the full-time equivalent annual base salary for this position is expected
to range from $55,000 to $65,000 and successful candidates may also be eligible
for additional, variable incentive compensation dependent on the role. For
part-time employees, the salary will be prorated based on the actual number of
hours worked.

experience, skills, seniority, performance, and Palladium’s business or

Reporting and Supervision:
The Billing Associate reports to the Head of Billing. Reporting requirements include:
Attendance at all weekly team meetings as required.Regular updates with your line manager.
Monthly submission of assigned invoices and completion of other assigned tasks.
A monthly update on the status of your KRAs, as well as any other important areas of concern.
Exception reports as and when required.
The role will form part of the Finance Department and will be required to liaise closely with the Finance Team, Project Directors, and Project Operations, and other company employees.
The role will also be expected to contribute to process improvement through innovative and cost-effective proposals/ideas/suggestions as experience is gained.
Primary
Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the
Billing Associate are to:
Performs reconciliations of government cost plus vouchers within the accounting system as necessary.
Performs month-end close duties under supervision relating to project-based accounting.
Helps to maintain accurate and complete accounts receivable records ensuring company invoices are billed timely.
Assists with project setup under supervision in accounting system for project funding, billing, and revenue information.
Analyses actual government indirect rates on a regular basis compared to approve rates for billing adjustments.
Understands the differences between contract types e.g. Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Time and Materials, and Fixed Price.
Runs reports and helps compile financial packages for internal reviews.
Confirms invoice by comparing invoices to contract requirements.
Verifies billing and indirect cost rates to ensure invoices are calculating correctly.
Key
Competencies Required:
Knowledge of and experience with government contract billing and accounting.
Experience in government contract accounting, including basic knowledge of CAS and FAR provisions.
Experience with Government audits preferred.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Good time management skills.
Professional
Expertise/Competencies Preferred:
Prior experience in a professional services environment with preference to government contracting.
