Description A Downtown Law firm is in need of a Legal Biller. This position is temporary to hire The position is Hybrid after training is completed. The Legal Biller's responsibilities include: - Process and oversee the billing of 500 to 1,000 invoices monthly, with the capacity to handle up to 3,000 invoices across various carriers. - Monitor and analyze billing metrics to assist in budgeting and support future appeals processes. - Collaborate with the billing manager and legal teams to enhance and streamline the billing process, enabling the billing manager to focus on higher-level tasks. - Demonstrate familiarity with the legal billing process and relevant compliance requirements. - Utilize excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage high-volume billing. - Communicate effectively with various departments to ensure accurate billing practices. - Work closely with local counsel to train them on the firm’s billing procedures, ensuring compliance through thorough monthly invoice reviews. - Maintain daily communication with local counsel firms to address inquiries and facilitate efficient billing processes. - Review and submit invoices to ensure timely payment processing. - Enter and upload data into various reporting programs for effective tracking and analysis. - Coordinate all billing related to experts and third-party vendors for the account. - Submit invoices to clients and insurance carriers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant policies.
