Description Robert Half is working with an accounting firm who is looking to bring on a billing clerk on a temp to hire basis, based in Los Angeles, California. The ideal candidate would be able to commute on site and has experience working within professional services in a billing capacity and has a proven track record of client interaction and customer service. Responsibilities: • Prepare and issue client invoices accurately and in a timely manner • Review and verify billing data for completeness and accuracy • Maintain and update billing records utilizing accounting software systems • Address and resolve any client inquiries related to billing • Collaborate with project managers to track billable hours and expenses • Ensure compliance with internal billing policies and external regulations • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports • Support the finance team with other accounting tasks as needed • Utilize computerized billing systems for efficient processing • Handle customer invoices and billing collections effectively. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Billing Clerk or similar role • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required • Experience with Computerized Billing is necessary • Must have knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures • Ability to handle Answering Inbound Calls professionally and effectively • Prior experience in Billing and Billing Collection is mandatory • Experience in handling Customer Invoices is essential • Excellent customer service and communication skills are required • Must have strong organizational and multitasking abilities • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are necessary • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential • Candidates must have a high school diploma; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
