Description We are offering a long-term contract, potential contract to hire employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk in the construction industry, located in Benicia, California. The workplace will require managing a variety of tasks related to customer invoicing, project coordination, and administrative duties.
Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications • Keep customer credit records up-to-date and accurate • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues • Keep track of customer accounts and take necessary actions • Set up invoices as per customer requirements and in PENTA • Keep track of invoice reports, identifying missing invoices, unsent invoices, and pending invoices • Coordinate project activities, including but not limited to meetings, agendas, and note-taking • Add crew members to the weekly roll-up and update billing information • Generate bid folders and invoices • Assist in the generation of regularly scheduled reports • Answer questions and fulfill requests for information • Support multiple project handling • Carry out various administrative duties like filing, typing, copying, binding, and scanning • Draft letters and emails on behalf of other office staff • Maintain both computer and manual filing systems • Handle sensitive data in a confidential manner. Requirements • Proficient in Data Entry, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
• Previous experience in the Construction/Contractor industry is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong mathematical skills to ensure accurate billing processes.
• Experience with billing software and other related computer programs is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles will be advantageous.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in finance or related field will be a plus.
• Willingness to comply with all company, local, state, and federal financial regulations.
