Description We are offering a contract for a Billing Clerk role in the construction/contractor industry, based in Signal Hill, California. As a Billing Clerk, you will play a key role in handling various administrative duties, maintaining customer records, and ensuring efficient data entry. Your primary tasks will include billing, collections, and managing the related operations. Responsibilities: • Managing and processing billing functions with the use of appropriate billing software. • Carrying out collection operations and processes to ensure timely payments. • Inputting accurate data entries related to customer accounts and transactions. • Administering various duties related to accounts receivable (AR). • Maintaining and updating customer records accurately. • Assisting in shaping and developing the company's billing and collection processes. • Resolving customer inquiries related to billing and collections promptly. • Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions based on account status. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Billing Clerk role or similar within the construction/contractor industry • Proficiency in carrying out billing functions with high accuracy • Experience in billing collection and managing collection operations • Familiarity with various billing software and ability to quickly adapt to new systems • Knowledge of collection processes and methodologies • Strong skills in collections, with a focus on maximizing returns and reducing losses • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
