Description
We are offering a contract for a Billing Clerk position within the legal industry, based in Allentown, Pennsylvania. As a Billing Clerk, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities including handling customer invoices, processing wire transfers, and maintaining client relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the preparation, review, and submission of legal invoices while adhering to client regulations and deadlines.
• Manage the processing and handling of Accounts Payable transactions, including attorney reimbursements and vendor invoices.
• Oversee domestic and international wire transfers, ensuring all transactions are documented and approved accurately.
• Utilize electronic billing systems, like eBillingHub and CounselLink, to submit invoices, track payment statuses, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Process client payments, maintain accurate records of transactions, and generate reports on payment receipts.
• Act as the liaison between the firm and its clients, responding to billing inquiries and coordinating payment arrangements promptly.
• Ensure all billing procedures comply with firm policies and industry regulations.
• Generate financial reports as required, including billing history, aged accounts receivable, payment receipts, and projections.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to manage time entries and resolve any billing discrepancies.

Requirements • Candidate must possess a thorough understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
• Experience in generating and managing customer invoices is essential.
• Familiarity with legal industry billing practices and standards is required.
• Proficiency in using billing software and other related computer applications is expected.
• Excellent numerical and organizational skills are necessary.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail is mandatory.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines is critical.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation is a must.
• Must have problem-solving skills to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field would be advantageous.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the legal industry would be preferred.
• Confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive financial information is essential.
