Description We are in search of a Billing Clerk to join our team located in Houston, Texas. This role is centered around the financial industry, with a focus on managing and processing invoices. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Accurate and efficient processing of customer invoices using Ariba and Open Invoice systems • Maintain detailed records of all billing activities • Actively monitor customer accounts and perform necessary actions • Resolve customer inquiries related to billing in a timely manner • Ensure all data entered into the billing system is accurate and up-to-date • Utilize technical skills to effectively manage and navigate through the system • Work closely with the accounts receivable team and provide necessary support • Contribute to the team by being organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy • Adhere to the working hours of either 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday • Continuously improve the billing processes through attention to detail and proficiency in relevant skills. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Billing Clerk or in a similar role. • Proficiency in billing procedures. • Demonstrated ability to enter invoices accurately and timely. • Familiarity with the Ariba system and Open Invoice applications. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel. • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in Accounting or Finance will be considered a plus.
