Description We are currently looking for an experienced Work in Progress (WIP) Biller to join a dynamic growing team in the Houston area on a contract to hire basis. This role will play an integral part in our financial operations team and will be responsible for managing the billing process in a high-volume utility services or construction environment. Responsibilities: + Manage the Work-In-Progress (WIP) billing process for all ongoing projects, ensuring billings are performed timely and accurately. + Collaborate with Project Managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary project financial information. + Utilize SAP systems to process invoices, track expenses and transactions. + Conduct invoice aging by monitoring and analyzing outstanding invoices and performing appropriate follow-ups. + Use VLOOKUP function and Pivot tables in Excel to manage, sort and analyze data. + Provide regular reports on billing activities, potential issues, and solutions to the management team. + Respond to queries from internal and external customers regarding billing issues or discrepancies. + Ensure compliance with financial policy, practice and applicable laws/regulations. + Continually evaluate billing operating procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and services. Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a billing clerk role. • Proficiency in computerized billing is required. • Must have a strong understanding of accounting functions. • Familiarity with WIP - Work In Progress is necessary. • Experience in AIA Billing is a must. • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required. • Experience in utility billing is necessary. • Knowledge of SAP is a preferred • Proficiency in using VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables is required.
