Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk in the non-profit sector, based in Richfield, Minnesota. The position involves a blend of working environments, requiring both in-office and remote work. As a Billing Clerk, you will be tasked with handling various administrative duties, processing claims, and using specific billing software. Responsibilities include: • Managing and submitting claims, making necessary adjustments when they are denied • Proficiently using M86 and other computerized billing systems to streamline processes • Overseeing accounts receivable and ensuring timely payments • Utilizing Microsoft Excel and EHR System for tracking and reporting purposes • Handling clerical duties including scanning documents to banks • Addressing a backlog of claims due to system limitations, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency • Consolidating multiple claims into a single submission when necessary • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate customer records • Resolving customer inquiries related to billing and account issues • Performing various accounting functions as part of the role. Requirements • Entry-level position, no prior experience required. • Proficiency in computerized billing systems. • Familiarity with EHR System. • Basic understanding of accounting functions. • Ability to manage Accounts Receivable (AR). • Knowledge of M86 is a plus. • Experience with medical billing processes. • Exposure to claims processing and handling medical claims. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
