Billing EDI Specialist - REMOTE

Labcorp is hiring a Billing EDI Specialist. This role is responsible for planning, implementing and supporting customer EDI applications interfaces. Tests and verifies that EDI solutions are performing according to standards. Researches, analyzes, and recommends solutions to potential interface problems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer service skills: should be able to recognize the customer as the physician and internal/external customers. Should possess appropriate phone skills.
Ability to problem solve demonstrated by examples in previous work in experience where they identified a problem and did due diligence to solve the problem.
Analytical skills demonstrated by ability to find trends and abnormalities in their environment
Should be detail-oriented
Should feel comfortable with a changing environment such as changing duties, priorities, and SOP’s
Manually confirm electronic file submissions by either phone, fax, web sites, or reports for payers that are assigned to specialist
Enter data into Submission Database completely and accurately
Provide clear, complete and accurate feedback to originator of correspondence or phone call
Notify management of trends, report problems, or submission file issues in a timely manner
Review all Reason for Rejection Reports and report findings to all appropriate personnel
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s Degree is preferred
Minimum 1+ years prior work experience in a healthcare billing environment required
Minimum 1+ year prior Billing EDI knowledge required
Administrative: Answer telephones, maintain logs/records, organizational skills, proficiency with numbers, research information, time management, use computerized databases, written and verbal communications.
Must have beginner Excel skills in, good customer service skills, and be proficient in alpha/numeric typing

Pay Range: $18.00-19.00 per hour (State minimum wages apply if higher)
