GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES \n

Collecting and posting insurance, patient, and vendor payments to patient accounts. Responsible for the billing and collection of selected TR contracts and agreements.\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\n\nMinimum 2 years medical office experience with knowledge of diagnosis (ICD) and\/or procedure (CPT) and\/or dental (ADA) coding systems.\nDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and major insurance carrier regulations, procedures and benefit plans. \nTwo or more years experience billing third-party insurances. \nRequires minimal supervision and direction with ability to make sound decisions.\nHighly ethical and non-judgmental.\nStrong customer service skills..\nAble to analyze and resolve problems.\nAbility to effectively communicate and interact with physicians and coworkers, hospital staff, third-party payors, patients and the public.\nAbility to read and follow oral and written instruction.\nMust be able to use hands repetitively with good dexterity. \nAble to sit for long periods of time.\nComputer proficiency.\n\n

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nFive or more years of experience in a medical and \/or dental office.\nExperience billing FQHC Medicare and FQHC Medicaid.\nBilingual in English and Spanish.\nCertified Professional Coder credential. \n\n
