An exciting opportunity has arisen for the Billing Specialist which is a part of GBS Finance Operations. The Finance Service Centers (FSC) provide transactional finance support for and on behalf of Rolls-Royce Finance and the wider business. The departments within FSC include Financial Accounting and Reporting (FA&R), Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).  The function of Accounts Receivable within the FSC is divided into Billing and Credit and Collections. 

The service centers are integral to Rolls-Royce's finance strategy in ensuring that transactional finance processes are delivered efficiently and effectively both to meet customer requirements and in order to enable scalable future growth and expansion.

Key Accountabilities:

Creates invoices and credit memos from business requests and interacts with requestors to ensure proper processing; distribute invoices to customer portals to ensure on time payment of billingsAct as a liaison between Billing and Credit and CollectionsEnsure accurate and timely government and non-government billings for trade and intercompany contracts (including cost type, FFP, & T&M) as neededSupport in the coordination, planning and execution of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, reporting and reconciliation, adhering to key deadlinesBuild and improve internal procedures and controls; Continually work to standardize and automate processes; Regularly document and review policies and procedures for accuracy and relevanceActs as a process back up for other Billing Specialists; Other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Billing Manager

Basic Requirements:

Associate degree with 2+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance, ORBachelor’s degree, ORMaster’s degree, ORJD/PhD, OR4+ years of Accounting or Finance in lieu of a degreeIn order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment that is highly deadline-drivenPrevious accounts receivable experienceProficient in Excel (VLookup, Pivot Tables, Macros)
